DOCUMENTATION / Using modisa
Keys & mouse
Every binding behind the prefix, and everything the mouse can do.
Prefix bindings

Any of them can move: prefix and [keys] in config.toml (Configuration), named as the keyboard guide names them. x, d and Escape stay put. modisa config reset-keys brings back modisa's own.
Mouse
- Click a pane to focus it; scroll for its scrollback.
- Drag the border between two panes to resize them — the pointer turns into a move cursor over a border.
- Drag the sidebar's edge to make it wider or narrower; the width is kept for next time.
- Click a tab to switch to it; click the space's name at the top left to switch spaces.
- Right-click a pane or a tab for split, zoom, rename, copy visible output, search, theme, sidebar and close.
- Every menu, picker and dialog works with the mouse: the pointer selects, a click chooses, the wheel scrolls, a click outside closes.
- If the pointer resting on a row shouldn't select it, turn off select on hover on the settings page (general), or set
[mouse] hover = false. Shift-drag (Option-drag in iTerm) selects text the terminal's own way.
Copying uses OSC 52, so it reaches your clipboard even over ssh in terminals that support it.
Command palette
Ctrl+B : lists every action by name, including the ones without a key: restart the server, edit config.toml, update modisa, message log, and more. Type to search it; every picker and menu has the same search.
